The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is your hub for VA benefits, community, and advocacy. Workforce Services extends your support with training, funding, and career pathways, so you can focus on success in school and beyond.
What We Offer
Navigate benefits with clarity and get wraparound support that pairs federal VA resources with state and local Workforce programs. Services include GI Bill® and VA benefits support with class certification and benefit questions coordinated with the School Certifying Official (SCO); Workforce Services partnerships that provide grants and aid such as Worker Retraining, BFET, Opportunity Grant, and SEAG, plus training and career navigation; VA Work-Study opportunities for eligible students to earn a VA stipend working at the VRC or other approved sites; Vocational Rehabilitation (VR&E;) education support for eligible veterans with service-connected disabilities; Referrals and advocacy that connect students directly to financial aid, housing, food, tutoring, and mental health resources; and a community space that offers a welcoming lounge and study area for military-connected students.

Seattle Vet Center Counselor

During the school year, the counselor is available from 1–4 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at the VRC. A counselor from the Seattle Vet Center is available to meet with students who have served in the military, been stationed in a combat zone, or experienced sexual trauma/coercion while in the military. Veterans, active duty personnel, and anyone serving in the National Guard or Reserves may meet with the counselor for confidential support and guidance.

Workforce Services provides Worker Retraining, BFET, Opportunity Grant, and SEAG programs. Emergency aid is available for tuition, books, rent, childcare, transportation, and food. Career coaching, apprenticeships, and job placement services are also offered with Priority of Service for veterans.
